Or rather, about three and a half hours' worth.

Today, I sat down and had a marathon of the first dvd of the anime Macross. Some of you may remember the American series they derived from it, Robotech. If you don't remember it, your parents or older siblings might.

Well, I sat there and watched the first episode and thought to myself, "Wow. I want to cosplay Hikaru. But that orange flight suit looks rather daunting." And then I realized that the military suits would be even harder. And then I figured it might be possible in the future.

And then I realized somewhere around episode 8 that I could definitely pull of his military uniform. No, not the flight suit, the uniform. So I vowed to have it done by Otakon. And then I mentioned it to my brother, whose only reaction was "Cool. Feel like making me Roy?"

So, along with both versions of Integra that I have, I'll be bringing Hikaru Ichijo to Otakon as well.


-----Busy As Hell-----

Considering that I'm now the VP of the drama club at my school, I have NO LIFE from here until March. Currently we're working on a one-act for the state thespian conference, and that takes place on the first weekend of December. Piled on top of that, we're putting on a production of Frosty the Snowman as a fundraiser - auditions for that are next week, and the performance will be the 12th of December. Immediately after that, we have auditions for the spring musical.

After the musical's done and over with, then I get to start making my prom dress. It'll be my third Junior Prom for my school, and I'm only a junior this year... plus I've got two guy friends (a current sophomore and a freshman) who've promised they'd take me to theirs if they don't have a girlfriend. Which means I'll be setting a school record for the number of proms attended.

My dress design (for which I'm borrowing 's dressform (excitement!) is kinda godess-y. It's long and flowing with twin shoulder danglies in the back and a gathered bodice and I'm going to have TWO OF THEM. One will be draped from black muslin - which means I could definitely wear it for some sort of Greek!Integra - as the rough draft, as I'm going patternless for maximum flow. The other, the real one I'll be wearing, will have a silver base lining and iridescent RAINBOW overlay. Like those shirts we used to have in the early 2000s, a base color and then rainbow thread woven throughout. I'm so excited.

As a side note, my pics from Zenkai are up, if you hadn't noticed my spamming of your inboxes. Maybe should've warned you guys. And not all of my pics are up, though all of them are on my Facebook and Myspace.

If you know anyone whose picture I took, lemme know. I'd like to mention them. Because the costumes I saw were AWESOME for a small con. And they had to turn nearly a hundred people away at the door Saturday morning! Think of all the people who made costumes specifically for the event and didn't even get in!

Makes me glad that me and my bro did pre-reg the last possible night - the tuesday before the con.
