I don't really update anything on here anymore. I just re-entered the fanfiction world, and you can check out my AO3 profile here: archiveofourown.org/users/nerd…

I'm not deleting my account because people seem to like the 120 Drabble Challenge I have up. If you take a peek at my AO3 above, I'm taking my own hacks at it, slowly but surely.

I started staffing at cons so I'm cosplaying way less, I don't have time to write fanfiction, I don't have time or occasions to bake cakes, and I have different opinions on the use of pixel bases than I did when I was using them.

So I'm not offended if people unfollow me, considering I do precisely nothing other than hosting old pictures and a couple of drabble challenges for other people to do. I don't check dA for anything other than fave notifications and the DD's.

Just know that if you're looking to follow me, you probably won't ever see me upload anything. :)

Sorry for not adding a new journal entry, I guess.

I'm working at The Bates Motel + Haunted Hayride this year, and work is grueling but rewarding. Between that, school, and rehearsal for a musical revue, I have very little time to hang out with friends, much less do anything else, really.

I am working on a Supergirl comission for a friend for Halloween though, and updating my Lady Thor for Allentown Comic Con and the Thor 2 premiere, which includes some armor work, if I can manage it from the yoga mat I have lying around my house somewhere. I'm also working on Princess Bubblegum's crown, so I can be her for Halloween myself, before I go to work. (Mostly, I just need to fineagle pink skin.)

Other than that, everything else is kicking my ass. I can't really guarantee any new updates on much.

I won't be at Otakon this year, I couldn't swing it. But for those of you who ARE going: Have fun, be safe, and take lots of pictures!

My cousin and I had originally intended to attend Philly Comic Con again this year, but she has to work and we're not paying $55 at the door just for Sunday of the con, so that's scrapped. But I will be at AnimeNEXT, it's my first time going, even though it's closer to where I live than Otakon.

Cosplay plans are:
Senna (Legend of Korra: Book II) - Friday and Saturday mornings
Integra Hellsing - Friday afternoon/evening
Usagi Tsukino - Saturday afternoon/evening

We'll get there on Friday morning, and I'll be leaving early Sunday to come back home for a choral gig.

I'm attending ANext because a) Otakon is far too expensive these days, and b) a good chunk of my ticket is paid for by my anime club. But since I feel guilty about it, I'm going to volunteer and work for ten hours at the con to earn half of my registration fee back. And on top of that, volunteering would give me more con-running experience, so by the time Centuricon rolls around next Spring, I'll have more of that under my belt. The goal is to work at least ten hours, and then try to go further after that. So if I have any "man, I don't know what to do with my life right now" time, or two hours of lacking plans, I'm going back to the volunteer people. So far I think I'll be volunteering in the mornings at least, and also at night i.e. during the rave and such.

Volunteering at cons just might be my ticket to going to them at all for the next few years. I was invited to Animazement down in Raleigh for a reunion of my Hellsing family, so I'm going to see about volunteering there (and hitching a ride down with another of our Hellsingers, because I am not flying!) and possibly looking into other area conventions and volunteering for those. I'm pretty sure I'm done attending cons just for fun, I want to be on the working end of things.

(Plus that means I can wear things like jeans and tshirts, and after ANext, I'm probably just going to bring one costume for my downtime. Smaller packing, less wig heads, comfier shoes.)
